Yard Signs

March 5th, 2010

Get your Sessions for School Board yard sign today! Show your support for my candidacy by putting one up at your home or office.

Although I’m working hard to spread the word about my campaign to voters all over Columbia, I need your help to reach even more of them. Putting my sign in your yard or window is an easy and effective way to do just that.

If you haven’t already done so, sign up for a yard sign here: http://www.sessionsforschoolboard.com/volunteer. And don’t forget to encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same!

Thanks again for your support.

Thanks for your support!

February 23rd, 2010

The campaign kickoff was a great success. Around 200 people showed! Big thanks to everyone who came out.

We had a diverse crowd - parents, educators, business people, and students - all brought together by their commitment to the success of our public school system. The show of support was both humbling and encouraging; I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my campaign.

Here are some photos from the event, courtesy of Peg Miller.

Next week is the official kickoff party for my campaign, and you’re invited. Mark your calendar for February 18, 6:30pm at the PS:Gallery (812 East Broadway).

Come talk with me about why I’m running for School Board and about what you want to see from our district. If that’s not enough to get you in the door, the party is being catered by the locally owned, ever-tasty Bleu Restaurant & Wine Bar. So drop by, say hello, and show some support for my campaign! I couldn’t do this without you, thanks again.

Website is Online

January 18th, 2010

Welcome to the official Sessions for School Board blog!  I’ll be posting here regularly over the next couple months.

My purpose is twofold: first, I want to provide updates about general campaign happenings like speeches, forums, rallies, etc; and second, I want to share the ideas and insights I gain from talking with people just like you.  I know this race is going to take a lot of work, but the response of Columbia’s parents and educators has been encouraging.  Remember though - I can’t do this without you.  Please make a contribution, sign up to volunteer, or display a yard sign.  Let’s get to work!

We’re planning a kickoff event for sometime in February.  Date, time, and location: TBA.

Thanks for your support.  Stay tuned for more updates.

- Jonathan
